NAJ is part of the British Allied Trades Federation (BATF) formerly The British Jewellery, Giftware and Finishing Federation (BJGF).

BATF is a federation of trade associations, representing companies in the design, manufacture and supply of giftware, travel goods and finishing industries. The trade associations represented at Federation House are:

• The National Association of Jewellers, which makes up c. 60% of BATF Members
• The Surface Engineering Association
• The Giftware Association
• The Jewellery Distributors' Association
• British Jewellery & Giftware International
• The British Travel Goods and Accessories Association

BATF provides central support services to the member trade associations including office accommodation, accounting, IT, company secretarial and personnel services.

All NAJ members automatically become a member of the BATF and therefore benefit from a range of services negotiated by the BATF.

The NAJ's Birmingham Office is located within the BATF's building in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham.
